Double post.

I guess I was being uncharacteristically optimistic in thinking that DC was trying to broaden their readership. Deep down, I guess I feared that they're putting the screws to John to appease a dwindling fanbase.

Just read the end of "The Third Army" in the Green Lantern Corps annual......

The story was actually good but the way they keep pissing on John Stewart sickens me. He's just there to be black, make mistakes (i.e. kill people), and occasionally have a nice feat before they shunt him to the background. Is it some secret DC policy to keep him solely as a token? Simon Baz has actually gotten better treatment in his brief stint as a Lantern than John has since the entire line was rebooted.

I feel wrong but I laughed at this. lol

Had him confused with Samuel Delany. Delany wrote two issues of Wonder Woman. I'm a dummy.

C'mon Kasper....

Now you know DC's gotta balance out how he was over-shadowing every other GL with that Justice League cartoon. (And still is.) To the degree that fans of all creeds were saying "Why isn't the Green Lantern black?" or "Where's John Stewart?"when they saw the live action movie trailer. DC still hasn't recovered from their massive oversight, so they have to give John Stewart the "T'challa in the X-Men Books that are written by Jason Aaron" treatment in order to boost their golden boys up to their rightful place. John stole their thunder, despite all the years the favored Lanterns were propped up as the main stars in the DCU. So now that fans of the cartoon and of Stewart are reading the books, what better way to sap that momentum than to make him look lame, when in comparison to the white lanterns or alien lanterns (with white facial features)?

Agreed--it's stupid on there part in my opinion.
