Yo, Johnny! How are you, my man? My Christmas was good, didn't really do much but sleep and move things to my new room. Presents wise, only really got a small bit of cash from my pops and clothes from the bf. But last night he gave me X-Statix omnibus which I've yet to look through or open. How was yours?

Very nice! Have a great bf there and it's great he got you that Omni.
Got these bad boys (used my Christmas fund and money I saved up):
And finally ordered Days of Heaven by Terrence Malick
Dotter is so fucking good.
Though I'm not a big fan of Bryan Talbot's art, he hit it out of the park with Dotter.

I actually picked up Another Country by James Baldwin not too long ago. Looking forward to read it. Picked up a book of African American Folklore which my sister has been reading. Also have Kubrick's 2001, which I've been meaning to watch again since I first watched it years ago (and hated it). I want to pick up some Toni Morrison books. I loved her Tar Baby novel. Also Prince of Cats, I've been wanting that since I first saw previews of it all them while back.
But overall I need to start saving up some cash for a Mac book and save money to start putting up my first play (whenever THAT'S going to happen). UGH!! Also needing to save money to get an artist to get a book out!![]()

Man, I really haven't been reading much of anything this year. I see all these great Indie books but my money flow has been so low and wish I had more hours at work. Only thing I've really been buying are David Hine stuff and some Milligan here and there if I can afford it.

WHY?????????????
Can we end this year without someone asking why is a black guy around? Wonder what they think of Hawkman, Aquaman, Hawk, Dove & those guys that shoot arrows.
And guys what are the plans for Feb 2013? You know Milestone's 20th year. Since no one else gives a dang. What can we do?
Do we create a tumblr or deviant art group with our favorite sketches of Milestone guys? Someone could tell the/write the history of the company? Tell what made you a fan? What did this company mean to you as a minority or GLBT?
you can't be surprised that thread popped up dude, that mess is nothing to get irate over. I wouldn't say no one else gives a dang cause that would imply there aren't already tumblrs out there for Milestone characters. I mean if people make specific pokemon tumblrs for one of the best battles in the series (Red vs. Gold) then there's DEFINITELU gotta be some milestone stuff
I'd make a thread asking about people's favorite milestone series, talk about why static issue no 5 reminds me of Juice, favorite member(s) of the Blood Syndicate, how controversial they were/are in comparison to other groups, and what the HELL was up with Sugar Man in Xombi, and the weirdest things about that title. I'd love to see David Kim pop up in something like a JLDark title, or even batman
