No different than those who love animals but hate people. Feminists who hate men. Blacks that dont like whites. Gays that hate straights. Every group has its fringe.

but yeah I had an African professor say, you can tell how a nation deals with diversity by looking how its society treats Black people. We are the miner birds of tolerance.

How many people move when any other group moves next door. i dont see kids being yanked out of pools for less.

Definitely check out Spain's work. The earlier, underground stuff is very much over-the-top, challenging all social conventions, but it's also masterful storytelling. Thematically, you're going to see stuff that no one would else would touch, and while some of it definitely falls into the "shocking just to be transgressive" category that a lot of underground cartoonists played with, they all were breaking new ground. Spain's stuff has aged a lot better than a lot of it, in my opinion.

His later work demonstrates a master creator at work. Spain's cartooning is a wonder to behold, and he never took the easy path with the subjects he chose to explore, including autobiographical stories.

Has she died more the once? I remember her getting run through with a sword

Still showed more fight then getting off paneled heck Skin had his name misspelled on his tombstone.

Hand was killed off by her creator in a clear case of Bendis taking his toy with him after leaving the sandbox.

Since DnA also killed off Adam Warlock around the same time they killed off Phyla I don't know that you can read anything from it other than DnA like to have body counts in their comics.

Daken, is an interesting case, I'll admit.

That's Phyla Vell death. She didn't fight. She was fooled, she was screwed up, she cryed, she died like a pathetic loser, not like a hero.

But yeah, Marvel is so nice with LGBT characters! Heck, every time they feel that a movie lack of diversity, they decide to make one of the characters gay!

Also, remember how Karma and Northstar totally stole the show in AvX?
