The writer made a point of saying there wouldn't be a romantic subplot between Holmes and Watson prior to the premiere.

I loved Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century!!

But did you love "Sherlock Holmes in the 23rd century" from a special 2 part episode of BRAVESTAR. I believe that this 2 part episode either influenced or was a rejected test pilot for what eventually became SHERLOCK HOLMES IN THE 22ND CENTURY.

I finally saw Elementary yesterday.

It's like House. I'm used to more theatrical or eccentric Holmeses.

This guy is pretty snarky like Greg House, but isn't as overtly self destructive as Greg House was.

Which makes sense. The Police aren't going to
knowingly let a junky with impuse control issues
near them no matter how smart he is.


Of course this show is more like House because House was popular.

And this Watson isn't the gun wielder the classic one is. She is more of a Wilson like voice of reason.

I'm surprised they haven't shown Moriarty yet.

Just had Pollo Loco for the first time. I'm sure people from LA know a million better places but it was pretty damn good.

Also, Wreck-It Ralph was great. They totally need to make XBLA and PSN downloads of Fix-It Felix Jr. and Sugar Rush.

It didn't happen in comics it was a discussion about whether Storm would be revealed to be pregnant during AvX. I pointed out that several fans praying she would get "a lightning powered abortion" were basically sickos. One called me a sexist piece of shit and said I was setting back women by taking away their right to choose. I responded that essentially forcing someone to get an abortion because they don't like the father is just as bad as not letting a woman decide to get one. Neither situation would have anything to do with letting a woman choose.

The point was lost though because the three posters in question are fucking stupid.

Wow...yeah..Stuff like that is why I don't hang on the Marvel boards much. A lot of the people have serious issues. People on the DC boards say that the Wonder Woman fans are crazy but I doubt that they have spoken to too many Storm fans on this board. It makes me sick because Storm is one of my favorite characters but I don't feel like it is worth going into any of the threads about her.

Okay just watched Elementary episode 1. Its good, hope it does well. I like Lucy Lu's character. This Holmes actor is alright, I prefer him to Downey's Holmes. RDJ's Holmes was too action hero and his British accent was terrible. I like Elementary because they present the clues in such a way that the audience has a very minute chance of putting some of the pieces together.... its a slim chance and you and you won't get most of the clues but you will get a few, or at least I did. Unlike some other Sherlocke Holmes works where the reader/audience isn't given any real hints and Holms magically comes to the conclusion often introducing clues without precedent The last Holmes movies, albiet entertaining, left the audience with no hope of putting the mystery together whatsoever. RDJ's Holmes sometimes was downright prophetic as are a few other incarnations.

Also LMAO at the baseball scene at the end of episode one. PLZ

still entertaining show I'll stick with it for a little while

In the Storm thread where we all from the BP thread were accused of slut shanking Storm and being out right hostile to them when they came over and again here a couple pages back were again we all were apparently still saying mean and hurtful things about Storm and not letting OS speak whatever because we're suddenly the bad element

I called Storm a whore because according to her so called fans she was having sex with Logan even before the anulement of the marriage. Unfaithful wife would've been more fitting though.

How long are you guys going to keep bringing up marvel stuff? If you want to talk marvel there is a whole forum and 5 subforums for that. I avoid the marvel section like the plague now for numerous reasons. You all just get drawn into the same old arguments, and go back and forth back and forth, because one or more posters simply can't empathize or relate or fails to try...............................

no you all can talk about whatever you want to. I shouldn't overreact, just don't have to read the posts or let them bug me. I don't even bother with these discussions anymore cause you can't have a conversation with some posters without them flaming or being downright bullheaded. Some people don't even try to relate or listen to what your saying before responding. But those are just my own personal complaints. I'm trying not to take internet stuff seriously anymore, too much anonymity and lack of accountability for what people say undermining serious discusions among other issues.
