Good call on what was in the box.

I enjoyed the Hank and Matt connection that was made. The scene with Hank using Matt's "radar" was well done by Samnee. Good stuff. And I like the new "sense" he mentions to Starnge. Matty gets him a new buddy to share the pain. Bro yay!
I do think Foggy overreacted but it was more than just the "straw that broke the camel's back" as I could see Foggy spiraling down if he doesnt change something. It is tough being Matt's friend and partner.

Allred is coming up on art (awesome!) so things can't get too dark right away.

Frankly what was in the box was too predicable to be part of this great run so far. There was a flashback panel to mole situation last issue before this. It ruin the issue though, i got this issue the same day it hit the comic shop and i dont do that for other comics currently. Only monthly hauls.

I cant wait to see Matt solo, alone without the friend he always counted on.
Dark stuff or night Samnee is much better now with DD than he was with Cap issues i have read. Awesome news he is the main artist now. Similar style to Rivera.

I see their relationship similar to that of a husband and wife. Maybe this is cheesy.

The wife understands her husband has a busy job that occupies most of his time. She understands that and supports it for many years, but after a while she just gets fed up. Rather than dealing with the issue early on (wanting him to make more of an effort to be home and being the husband), she lets it build up to the point where she walks out. Foggy believes Matt is lying about the remains, so I won't add that into my above analogy. Reconciliation is needed for their friendship, but can Matt realistically continue to be a productive law partner and Daredevil at the same time?

I don't know these characters at all, but for me it seemed clear that Foggy is getting sharp because he cares about Matt and he's afraid for him. It had the tone of an intervention -- I'm not mad, just be honest with me and admit you need help so we can help you. He interpreted Matt's response as denial, and now he's got to stick with his decision. He can't go back on his word or else he'll be enabling the self-destructive behavior he sees in Matt. (And let's be honest -- finding a skull in someone else's desk would put a damper on anyone's day).

Just read the issue... ** sigh ** so sad when Foggy kicked Matt out. That made the rest of the issue worth reading. This is the first issue I where Samnee's art did not work for me. It seemed very rushed.

All of the 2000's. He's been happy recently but Foggy has been pretty skeptical and was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I think he over-reacted but I can definitely see where he is coming from.

And, yeah, harsh, Foggy, harsh. Waid is pretty great at, like, sickening, shocking moments. See also: 52, and that unbelievable Ralph Dibny scene. Haunting.

Agree. You didn't miss anything with the Omega Effect and I think that is being collected in the Punisher and DD trades, could be wrong through. The skull in the drawer reminds me of when the Winter Soldier file mysteriously arrived at Steve Rogers Brooklyn apartment (that might have been Red Skull controlled Cosmic Cube business.)

The reason why I was enjoying this run is that it wasn't the same old Matt, I think Allred's issue is the last one for me. Very talented team, but just not what I'm wanting right now.

I dropped this book after the crossover but changed my mind before the next issue came out. Then I dropped again last issue to save cash not being a huge DD fan and all... but I ended up grabbing this issue off the shelf at another store. Now I'm embarrassed to tell my lcs that I want to pull it again. I can't quit ol' horn head. He's like my Brokeback Mountain of comic books. Dang Foggy say it ain't so!

Okay, so, first half of the issue? Cool as hell.

Second half? What the hell Foggy? Really? You're just gonna up and leave him over this, without letting him explain himself? Is Foggy really that bipolar about stuff?

I'm not blaming this on Foggy, I'm blaming it on Mark Waid. Sorry but he wouldn't just up and leave him this abruptly. He's stuck with him through much weirder and more messed up than this. MUCH. But now he's going wacko.

Yeah Matt has used Foggy in that he hasnt been honest with him for years. I hope they struggle with each other for months and not just became best friends again in 5 issues.
