I'm glad it happened, if only so Marvel has a future reference now for how NOT to handle Storm's relationships. Or the relationships of any superhero/ine, for that matter.

I'm similarly glad it's over. This was an idea that could have been decent, or at least not terrible, if any writer or editor had put any real thought behind it, at all. But it was slapdash and poorly-executed from the beginning, a cheap ploy to get the Panther more recognition while shoving Storm into the background.

Even her Avengers tenure, something I'd been half-hoping for since Claremont left the X-Books a second time, was one long trainwreck of disappointment.

Maybe now my favorite comic book character of all time will come back to the prominence I feel she deserves. I'd love her with Wolverine, but it won't happen, so I'm content with her being the only single Marvel woman for the time being.
