I've sworn off reading previews of Valiant books from now on. It just makes reading them go by so much faster when they're actually released. But it is so....hard.....to.....resist!

A taste would be a page. A page is enough for me. It's the 5+ page previews that kill me. I trust the creative teams working on these books enough now that I am satisfied with reading them sight unseen.

Same here. I glance at the thumbnails to get the gist but refuse to zoom in and read them. Shadowman, for example, has already shown so many pages I feel like I have read the first issue...Slightly different because they are promoting a new launch, but still a stifling number of pages. And Zircher is such a good storyteller in his art that they don't even need to be lettered to know what is going on.

From my scan all I can tell is we will be getting more Darpan...and thats all I need to know going into this one.

Yeah. Shadowman was the last straw for me too. When the first teaser of Jack Boniface hit that was all I needed, but now I've read like 1/4 of the 1st issue thanks to all of those Previews. Granted, I get that Valiant is a "new" company in the minds of many readers so I applaud their marketing efforts and wouldn't ask them to stop, I just can't allow myself to read any more spoilers lol

I had a feeling that Darpan would be playing a major role in the first arc of Harbinger. He and Pete should be around the same age, right? If Darpan is an Eggbreaker then he could prove to be Pete's main antagonist (besides Harada) in the first arc.

I think the scene at the beginning of issue two said 10 years ago, so he is between 10-11 years old...which can be very scary with that type of power set.

No kidding. The opening of #2 made it pretty clear how terrifying Darpan's powers can are.

Maybe I'm just an old-school anime nerd, but the more I read the solicits for Harbinger the more I get a real Akira vibe. The way that Harada is trying to train/pacify Peter to make him less dangerous and more useful to his own interests really reminds me of the relationship between the Japanese government and the psychic children in Akira.

Looks good, it seems like it's going to be a very story-heavy issue instead of action packed this time around after all the fun that we had in issue #2 (which I'm cool with). I hope it's every bit as good as the preview was and can't wait for it to come out!
