Not a fan of anything Aaron has written so this doesn't bode well for me. I'm willing to give it a shot though.
What would I most like to see?
Thor with brain function. And after the last year or so, not buying anything more that claims to have him in it, until I hear it's been delivered.
Mostly moved on to fanfiction.net...
"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
I never would have thought to pair up Jason Aaron with Thor, but I think he can bring a unique flavor to the title. It could also go horribly wrong. But, I am willing to give it a chance.
And I hope Esad Ribic, whose artwork I love, can at least make it a full six issues without needing a fill-in.
I will definitely keep my eye on Thor. Iron Man is still a no. I won't spend money on Greg Land. But this is a creative team with potential.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Boo, I was hoping that Jason Aaron would be writing Fantastic Four.
While I'm disappointed that they're not giving the book back to Gillen, I'm still on board. I've liked almost everything I've read by Aaron. Thor's pretty different for him, but he's earned a trial run from me when he gets my favorite character.
Ribic has an interesting art style which could complement Thor nicely. I like Jason Aaron and think he's a good writer, but for some reason he just doesn't gel with me. I might try an issue here or there. Thor really fell from my radar awhile ago and it'll take a lot to make the character worth reading on a monthly basis.
Wake me up when it's over...
All I have to say is, Don't screw up Jason.
My favorite writer and a terrific artist working together on my favorite character? Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. Kudos, Marvel.

I have learn to stay neutral with writers at Marvel. If he manages to ignore
the majority of Fractions crap and give us excellence I will praise.
If he screws up on the character like his predecessor than
I deem him to be unfit to write Thor and should be
moved be sent back to writing his usual books of Street Level indie titles.
