I've just begun readin DKR(gonna read all of Miller's works by release date first).
So basically Jason Todd died, but how exactly isn't revealed or at least it doesn't have to be exactly like Death in the Family?

Oh, and I have a question: When we see a scene of Two-Face's goons playing a card game and discussing his whereabouts, one of them says basically "I mean Dent -- not dip stick here."
Is there a card game called dip stick? Never heard of that before and the translations online don't seem to make any sense (in this case).

It just means 'this idiot'. It's not a card game.

That's what I thought as well, but it doesn't really make sense if we assume that two people play that game..

    OH WAIT.
There are three people playing I just noticed. There are three hands on the table... I assumed that only two were playing because of the two speech bubbles.

I just noticed that on DC wikia Batman from Batman/Spawn War Devil is listed as the Earth-31 Bats, while comicbookdb lists him as post-Crisis (?) Batman. Which one is right? Is this (sort of) in the same continuity as Miller's other stuff?

That's a mistake, the two crossovers are not related in anyway, they are not in the same continuity (al though the crossover is canon to Spawn's universe, somehow).
...And does Mr. Goddanm Batman says so much as ''Thanks''? OF COURSE not. That'd hardly be GRIM AND GRITTY, would it?

    Cool thanks.
Do you by any chance, if the extras included in the original single issues are present in the Absolute Edition or any other release?

"DC published the issues of The Dark Knight Returns in packaging that included extra pages,"

It's all there in every release. The extra pages refer to the fact that every issue was like 30 to 40 pages long. In the Regular tpb there is also an article by Jimmy Olsen about the state of the past Gotham underworld. It gives you a nice glimpse of certain villains that never made it to none of the stories.

    So it's an in-universe article?

Kind of sucks that this isn't included in the Complete Miller Batman. It's a very nice book with beautiful presentation, but extras wise it's pretty lackluster. Not even covers. :(

Not even the covers? Yeesh. But really you are not missing much, it's just a few parragraphs FM wrote to replace the introduction by Alan Moore that DC took out (I assume is because of his beef with DC). It's just a nice little bonus.

Can you (or someone else hehe) tell me if there are any major plotholes that can't be explained away in the "weaker" titles(ASBAR,DKSA,S/B)?
