something about this title screams "spring 2015" to me. Like a lead-in release to Avengers 2.

$3.99 IS TOO MUCH FOR A COMIC!
Well I hope Ant-Man fans enjoy it, if it is the 3rd 2014 film or the lead up to the 2015. The way they are pushing Ant-Man right now, I am not surprised if this is the case. I'm not a fan of the character but I appreciate Marvel's attempts to expand their cinematic universe any way.
Wake me up when it's over...
Well, as the original antman becomes Giant Man... This is a good potential lead-in to Avengers. And in the Animated Avengers Hank is both ant man and giant man, so it could work.

Simon Pegg also tweeted recently that Edgar would be filming next year, after End of the World is wrapped.

There are also still those rumours of Ant Man getting some sort of tag on to IM3

No!?!
Really!?!
Duh. I have been reading comics since before you were a glimmer in your parents eye, I know the comics history of the Avengers. I also know that the animated show is a hybrid stuck halfway between the comic and the movie versions. Since the movie version is forging it's own path, it will be just fine that the Avengers movies follow the animated series model and have Hank be both Ant Man and Giant Man at the same time. He shrinks or grows depending on which is needed for the battle. It will be badass.

I think the only comic i have ever read with ant man in it was the issue of Avengers when he died.
As such, i have no negative or positive views on the characters, and am not excited or dissapointed at him being in a movie.
As long as he doesn't steal screen time from the films real star.

lol. i could defend my reading record but i figure that things have gotten too serious as is. i was just surprised that you would have bothered to mention the animated series when Hank had been fully exploiting both power sets in Kurt Busiek's Avengers run. way i see it, he should save the Giant-Man stuff for the climax of whatever Avengers sequel he debuts in. the Ant-Man movie should stick with the ant-man powerset; not show all of the cards at once.
anyways...i think Benedict Cumberbatch is a dead ringer for tales to astonish pym.

he's the right height and has that ivy league professional look about him. he's played cerebral but isn't unbelievable as a pseudo action hero. i have no preference on Jan. if they include Lang (the Ant-man i prefer) they should limit his role to desperate thief of Pym's stealth equipment. there are ways to do it so that Pym is still the primary and Lang never officially makes the transition into full-fledged Ant-Man. if they base it in London (not saying that they should), i'd go with someone like Jamie Bell. i could buy him as an in over his head new father/cat burglar.

Doesn't anyone really care about Ant-Man because of the character? I just want to see it because it's being made by Edgar Wright, and his idea for it sounded really good; although I have no idea if they're even still doing that. He seems to have a lot on his plate right now, The World's End (which hasn't even started shooting yet), this movie, Collider, and The Night Stalker for Disney.
Well if Latino Review is so accurate lately with their Marvel Studios news, then where is that Black Panther movie they swore up and down was coming in 2014, hmmmmmmm????
Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me are people that think Final Crisis is good.
Ant Man would have to be one hell of a movie to get me bothering to see it - I just don't have any interest in the character.
Black Panther, on the other hand, now THAT could be a great flick if done well.
