Can someone explain this to me, i'm not really up on my law.
He killed 12 people, but is charged with 24 counts of first degree murder?
And then, he injured 58, but 116 counts of attempted?
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning
From MSNBC: "The murder charges included one count of 1st degree "murder with deliberation" and another count of 1st degree murder of "extreme indifference to the value of human life" for each victim."
It was the first news thing that came up in Google, and it had the info at the top.
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!
Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!
In other words, what StoneGold said.

The law is such a strange thing. Does it have to be this bloody complicated?
virtue untested is innocence
Why didn't you just read the article to find out? It was explained in the article.
Why comment on an article you can't be bothered to read? Frustrating.
I think there's no doubt Holmes will be found guilty on all those charges, unless an insanity plea is accepted, which I worry about. It's not as common as most people think, but I believe there's a possibility that argument could be accepted in this case.

I ain't no hot dog, yo.
I commend the CBR staff for keeping the community up to date on new developments of this horrible tragedy.
Personally, I do agree with the practice of several news agencies on keeping his name out of the headlines, it would be a gesture worth thinking about. Also, the Batman/Dark Knight Rises imagery doesn't necessarily need to be used as art.
Arvandor: I think due process is especially necessary in this instance. It's his right, and ultimately no verdict or sentence will be adequate.
burn the motherfucker. sorry for cursing i am just so disgusted by this evil act of cowardice...
Monty_Cristo, my response is directed not at you, but at Holmes.
Why should the good people of Colorado have to pay to keep this guy alive in prison? Haven't they suffered too much as it is? That's why I said death penalty. I couldn't give a flying figure newton what this damaged kid thinks or feels, he should pay for what he did. I do not think the death penalty is an "out."
Many serial killers are not forgotten in prison, and the sad thing is, he probably won't be forgotten.
Wake me up when it's over...
The news is doing a good job of making a celebrity of him. He won't be forgotten soon. I'm not saying this is a good thing.
