$3.99 + Land = I shall be passing on this.

I've got a big backlog of Fraction Iron Man to read through anyway so I'll be okay.

Or you could just read what you like, irrespective of the crowd. The crowd loved Gillen's Uncanny X-Men, and I agree with them. The popularity didn't influence my desire to read it, though. At least not consciously.

I wonder if all those will ship in November or if they are going to spread their big books out over a few months? November could be Iron Man, Cap, an X-title and maybe a new book. With only 1 new title each week, it could be Feb before some of the titles that are being cancelled in October show up again.

Greg Land traces Iron Man very well.

I'm on the fence about this now. Huge Iron Man fan (have every issue dating back to #45 of the original series) and I enjoy Gillen's writing, but I cannot stand Land's artwork. Might leaf through the first one and see if he's learned any new tricks, but my final decision will probably hinge on what porn actress he uses as a reference for Pepper (I kid, I kid, or do I?)

We'll just have to disagree. I think Fraction hit his peak with the Most Wanted storyline. Anything after that has been horribly paced fanfiction.

Why is Rob Liefeld dressed as Cappy A, and what the farkle is going on with Spider-Woman? Is she like a snake below the hips or something? And her head is all wrong... Ugh :|

Dunno how I feel about this. But, Greg Land is a clear bump in the road.

    Thor! Is! The Game!
Captain Universe is not Monica Rambeau. Monica Rambeau is not in Avengers.

That's my issue with Land on this book as well.

That Cap looks kinda like Ed Harris.

Though, what's to say that Marvel is changing up the adjectives as well, like they've done with Uncanny Avengers. This could be the Invincible Thor for all we know .
Please don't joke about this. Land's art could actually make me drop Thor's series in years. Talk about a major bummer.

I actually thought he looked like Apocalypse with a change in skintone and a Cap mask thrown on.

Hawkeye also looks like he's 90 years old.

I wasn't a fan of Fraction's Iron Man, but I'm looking forward to this. In Gillen I trust.
