So basically, the Marvel NOW initiative is just shuffling the deck chairs....

...oh, and my sincere condolences to Iron Man fans everywhere regarding Greg Land. Unless, of course, he has learned how to draw instead of just photo-tracing everything.

I think Greg Land is a great artist. His run on uncanny x-men was great. So no need for condolences.
There's a bit of Spider-Man in all of us.

Land's art will suit Iron Man, I'm in the minority, but I really like it, photo traced or not. I'd take that over plain bad art.

Gillen is likely my current favourite writer.

Definitely looking forward to this this one

Considering that there's speculation for two cosmic books and at least one youth oriented book, I'd say that it's a little more than just a shuffling of chairs. Of course books like Cap, Iron Man and Thor aren't really going anywhere. Marvel's much too invested in the cross-market potential for growth and consumer awareness. It's more change than Green Lantern and GLC got over at DC though.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I have followed Iron Man since Warren Ellis took over the title and introduced Extremis. And I would be happy to continue reading the book but.... they put Greg Land on it.

Sorry Mr. Gillen, but I can't buy your Iron Man. Please believe me when i say it has nothing to do with you.

    PS. It's a damn shame.

I'd rather see Gillen on a mutant book, but oh well. Wasn't really looking to add any titles to my pull list anyway...

Actually, Land will fit just fine, since the current artist does nothing except reference photos of Sawyer from Lost and Nicole Kidman to draw Tony Stark and Pepper.

    Yay Gillen, Boo Land

BC had this rumor down for months. Expect Fraction/Larocca Fantastic Four, Remender/Romita Jr on Captain America, and Avengers Assemble by Mark Waid later this week(as all of those books' respective runs are ending in October to make way for the new creative team in November, like Invincible Iron Man)

Seeing that makes me feel like Marvel isn't doing enough to inject new blood into their publishing line. Larocca and JRJr are old hat at this point. They should be going for something fresher or at least more energetic.

Love Gillen. Not so crazy about (but don't hate) Land. I'm definitely down with this.
