Default How long do you think until Earth One introduces the Joker and Ra's?

    SPOILERS TO Earth One.

So as the Ultimate Batman story, EO did very well in introducing new versions of Bruce, Alfred and Gordon that would be easy to digest for the Nolan's audience, and if you've read the book you know that Riddler is the villain of volume 2, and that's awesome, but it makes me wonder when will Johns introduce the Joker, Batman's most well known enemy and a sure crowd pleaser, and Ra's Al Ghul, pretty much his Moriarty in the Nolan fans' eyes (those who don't also read comics). Not to mention the Earth One Talia, Harley, Catwoman and Two Face and Dr Strange (who I was kind of dissapointed not to see in Vol 2 as his first recurring villain).

It's kind of exciting to see How Johns will reimagine them now that he has nothing but his imagination to stop him, is almost Batman Begins all over again!

But I still wish Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso (with covers by Lee Bermejo) were doing this
...And does Mr. Goddanm Batman says so much as ''Thanks''? OF COURSE not. That'd hardly be GRIM AND GRITTY, would it?

Maybe in about five or six years?

Hopefully not for a while. Joker and Ra's are getting enough panel time in Snyder and Morrison books.

Well yeah, now they do. But The third Batman Earth One wont come out in optimistacally the next two to three years. Maybe longer considering they have Gary Frank doing a monthly.

Though I figure Ra's and his empire (if that's how they do it) is way to big of a fish for this Batman just yet, but it would be cool for them to start showing hints of his existance.

I wasn't even able to finish the book because of the way Johns wrote Bruce/Batman.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.

Joker might make it in the third volume...not sure about Ra's though.

At DC's current rate of release these Earth One GN? Unlikely. The whole line will be cancelled (and replaced with another new line) before Joker can even be introduced

I think it'd be a safe bet to think the Joker will show up in the third volume.

Ra's might take a bit longer to work into the story.

Since Earth One is a bit more... realistic and Nolanesque, i cant imagine how Johns would do Ras, without resorting to Nolan's solution. You know, making Ras the title immortal, as opposed to the man himself.

I suppose they can introduce a quasi realistic explanation for the Lazarus Pit. It being some kind of Universal panacea that's able to cure every disease which only Ra's knows how to make. It's a bit pulpy, but it could work.

I can't find it now, but there was an interview way back in 2009 or early 2010 when the whole Earth One line was announced where Johns said he had plans for three books with Riddler in the second book and Joker in the third.

Now that I think about it, as much as I liked Vol.1, I'm a tad worried on how Johns would do Joker.

    Way to answer the question.

You know, this makes me think, Just like Ultimate Spiderman went through the Clone Saga, Ultimate Iron Man through the Armor Wars and Ultimate FF (and the whole universe) went through a Galactus trilogy of their own, makes me think that this Batman may have to go through his own Knightfall (As did Nolan's).

Yeah, he has never really written him before, beyond a couple of scenes in Infinite Crisis..
