Can't really call that pointless, though. You may not like that he's back, and that's your prerogative, but he was brought back as an antagonist to Captain America, then became a key supporting character for him, then replaced him for a while, and now has his own title.

As far as resurrections go, that's about as well-executed as it gets.

I'd say the Jackal. Brought back to be the antagonist for a mini series and, sure, he's been used since, but there really wasn't a point.

What I want to know is, where are Swordsman and Yellowjacket? They survived Chaos War: Dead Avengers, they appeared (or at least, Yellowjacket did) towards the end of the main book, but they haven't been seen since, while Alpha Flight immediately spun off into their own book. Swordy's one of my all-time favourite Avengers, if he's alive again, I want to see him used!

Acordding to Brevort they are dead and were not brought back at the end of Chaos War because no one had any plans for them. It doesn't make much sence that Alpha Flight survived but those two didn't, but thats just Marvel logic these days.
