After Boom! stoped publishing them, does anyone knows what happened? Disney simply took tham away so they don't compete with Marvel?
I grew up reading Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge, I hate that there aren't any comics being produced with them now.

I totally agree. I think Boom! was doing some remarkable things to rejuvenate the Disney Comics brand and make it more accessible to a new generation of readers. It saddens me that Disney/Marvel pulled the plug on them.

Marvel is publishing Disney characters... just not the classic Disney characters. Hopefully that'll change, either under Marvel or some other company.
-but the bright spot, of course, is Fantagraphics. They may not be putting out new monthlies, but they're putting out the definitive Carl Barks' Donald Duck/Uncle Scrooge and Floyd Gottfredson's Mickey Mouse. There's even rumors of Don Rosa reprints, too! Here's hoping they stay in print for years and become as widely read as they should be!
I don't think Mickey Mouse was competing for the same dollars as Deadpool.

Only Marvel and Disney knows, and I haven't seen any statements from either.
However, it is most likely a combination of two things. First of all, Marvel has a bad habit of neglecting competing lines of comics, e.g. New Universe (the original one), Epic and Malibu in the past, and most recently CrossGen. From where I'm standing it looks as if they want the competing imprints to fail. The second thing is business model. Marvel apparently needs to sell around 16.000 copies per month to make a profit (at least that is the limit when they start closing the series). Small press like Image, IDW and Boom can make a profit with much lower print runs. Around 3-5000 copies seems to be fine for many series. So, my best guess is that Marvel can't make a profit on the Disney series, and they really don't want to try either.

Don't know.
Wasn't too happy when Boom! took over from Gemstone. They didn't seem to care for some of the great classic reprints that Gemstone was doing, tho there seemed to be a glimmer of hope toward then end (they did a one-shot that paired up a Barks story with its Rosa sequel), and they started doing reprints of Don Rosa's stuff (tho they DIDN'T work with Rosa on that) and Walt Disney Comics and Stories, then that all ended when Disney bought Marvel.
Yeah, been loving what FBI is doing with Barks & Gottfredson's stuff. But there is a lot of other untapped classic Disney comics that is worth reprinting. (I recall seeing new Captain Nemo stuff in Disney's comic digest, for instance). And I'd love to see a complete Don Rosa Archive of his Disney stuff.
