Kwannon at least had Matsu'o's permission.

She might as well die or make sure no is there when she wakes up cause that would be pretty embarrassing
So what we're saying is Psylocke has a dong?
Isn't Psylocke more of a ninja than she is a samurai? Seppuku was usually reserved for Samurai and Samurai alone. Ninjas were typically taken from the lower classes precisely because they worked in the shadows which for a samurai would be considered disgraceful. In fact, most samurai would not admit they employed Ninjas because their tactics were considered underhanded and unbecoming of a true samurai.
So unless Kwannon was of samurai blood, I think she and by extension Psylocke would be seen as undeserving of the honor of committing seppuku. I think ninjas were beheaded or strangled and the proper method for her to committ suicide would be in a manner that would leave her body unrecognizable so that she could not be tied back to her employer and bring shame on them.

It's hard for me to listen to people not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.

I can't link the image independently but she's in Sept. UXF solicit
What I know about Samurai and Ninja is rather limited, but my human anatomy is pretty good. From the picture, it looks like her incision struck at about the jejunum, the middle section of the small intestine. I have to imagine this is a pretty painful place to be stabbed, mostly in that it is not an immediate death and could likely take a few hours to bleed out and ultimately die. Maybe there is some sort of bi-law of Bushido that dictates that failed Samurai should kill themselves in such a painful, undignified way; or maybe it is just a matter of how the illustrator rendered the scene.
In any case, I don't think that this 'death' is going to last all that long; I wouldn't be surprised if Betsy is back among the living within one to two issue's time.

Didn't her brother tell her to go kill herself after she killed her other brother?
