I like the Red She Hulk cover...except for Betty's pin head. Proportion, proportion, proportion. Whether static or in motion, head:torso:legs ratio stay the same. (Except when considering perspective and pov as key elements of the composition). I know Pags could do much better than that.

Wood nailed her. Like only good Wood could.
Great preview pages from Uncanny X-Men! Though ... TWO artists for one book? Again?![]()
Anybody else notice the Marvel Now costume changes on the Punisher cover? Cap looks loads better compared to the other images. Thor is also looking good.

Congrats to chariset for asking her question and getting an answer.
I have to agree with Axel, however... Phoenix would never have been something that Strange would feel obligated to tackle (of course, if he were around when it was coming, he'd try to do something).
If you recall in the old Uncanny X-Men issues when Jean Grey was returning to Earth, there were little one panel vignettes of various heroes reacting to the PHOENIX (the FF, Spider-Man, DOCTOR STRANGE). Each just noted it's approach but made no move to intercept.
One question I'd like Axel to answer is if the AvX battle between Doc and Magik would be shown in the last issue of the VS title.
That off-panel b.s. has got to stop.
Despite some quibbles about the red she-hulk cover, (and pinhead syndrome is always a potential pitfall when drawing a very muscular figure), I really, really like it. Excited that Carlo will be doing the interiors as well. :)
I do hope that Marvel's main take-away from A vs X is that the fact that so much of the action has been pushed into Vs., or the associated monthly titles, has really hampered the flow/impact of the main event comics. Oh, and that it would be nice if the initial central conflict did not rely on people acting wildly out-of-character.

I wish in one of these Axel would just say what titles are being cancelled and relaunched for Marvel NOW. I'm not sure what there is to gain by putting it off.

Some interesting comics are coming, but I'm most intrigued by the Minimum Carnage story. Chris Yost and Rick Remender have done a good job of establishing Spider-Man characters outside of Peter Parker's typical drama. Utilizing them in an event like this sounds like a nice way to explore them. I did give Maximum Carnage a chance back in the day, but in my opinion it was a very weak story. I really didn't care for it. I hope this one is better.

"This is the first time in a long time that we've had a Carnage story that -- even though it's very tongue-in-cheek -- has an explicit reference to the character's major coming out party in the '90s event 'Maximum Carnage.'"
Actually, Carnage: Family Feud specifically mentions Maximum Carnage. While it didn't actually name drop the event, the events described were clearly meant to reference that story. This book is referencing it in title alone.
To me it was mostly obvious with Iron Man's design, but I agree. I wonder if that means this will be a Marvel NOW! branded book, since this should be launching in the time when that would be happening. Either that or the outfits are just a tease and won't actually show up in the comic.

So much of that preview art(?) is so horrible, it's hard to even want to nitpick on the one close-to great piece of art. Punisher looked decent but not great. All the X-pages, though, looked so amateurish it's ridiculous! Marvel doesn't even try to get decent artist anymore![]()

Those Chechetto's Punisher pages are insanely good. I really hope Marvel has some work lined up for him when War Zone wraps up. And while Acuna seems to divide people for some reason, I think his stuff his great - he's definitely one of my favorite artists at the moment.
