You're not looking hard enough. As said before, Storm could have done it. Exodus could've tried to do it (why would just the X-men give a damn about the mutant race anyway), Magneto taking over the reigns. Nightcrawler creating a new version of Excalibur. Anyone with leadership qualities would've done the job. Instead they wanted to boost Cyclops as the Mutant face of the world because he leads the X-men.

Also hes playing the Phoenix sweetness card for some reason. How odd that Magik is bringing Hell to earth and being even more untrustful than before, Namor going crazy enough to strat a war, Colossus getting angry when people don't do as he wishes and Emma being decietful and manipulative........I mean everyone but Cyclops has had their emotions magnified, yet hes holding it together. Wheres my kill squad for the Avengers? Wheres the do anything to get the job done? Wheres the questioning of his tactics and insecurities magnified? We got a glimpse when the Avengers attacked that second time, then he reeled himself back in as the goodguy again. So yeah, Cyclops is the good guy whereas all the other Phoenixes are losing their shit.......Makes no sense.

Right so a member of the Avengers and Queen of an African Nation, two supervillains and corpse are the best you can come up with. Riiiight.
Cyclops did have his time of doubt. There was a whole issue about it. He moved past it. Hell, you can make the case now that his enhanced emotions are making him too certain about himself.

They might not care that Emma died, but again, a lot of them would show up out of respect for some of the other X-men who do care that Emma died. I think Tony would show up. They acted as though they wouldn't be friends again in the opening act-- and you can take that literally, or you can just see it as hyperbole. And I think we can find other examples that are at least plausible. Spider-man had a few team-ups with Emma. He may swing by, and some others might join him.

Very questionable, considering how this event is playing out and what Gillen's interview is implying.

I was getting some of the same feelings you were. I think Panther would be an interesting choice. Emma will probably do some soul searching. Her journey with X-men is soul searching.

Whereas Cyclops is doing what is natural to him, Emma said in Astonishing she liked Xaviers dream but that it didn't sit well with her. I see why people don't like Emma. I think that comment shows her commitment to growth and introspection. I see her growing in X-Men, but I see her taking a cooling off period. And it makes sense. She's a great character, people will want to read her, but it gives Bendis a bit of time to play with Cyclops/Cyclops/Jean/Wolverine without the Emma. For a while.

Well, I don't think they'd be ending Black Panther. When I say kill him, I mean "his body dies and he enters some spirit realm" kinda deal, where he still plays a big roll in the MU. I think people will see this in AvX and say "what's all this spirit realm/ Wakandan mysticism about?"

I think Emma is one of Marvel's number one characters, and one of their number one female characters. I wouldn't be surprised if she died, but Marvel has also been talking "oh we want to write more books with strong female leads" and such. Who knows.

Tony and Thor would care. She and Tony definitely have a past and Thor's greatest moment recently was his fight with Emma. Emma's domination of him was the greatest thrill he's ever had.
