I am VERY curious to see the sales on "First X-Men".
Wanda Maximoff is a joke!

I think I'll be passing on First X-Men.
Seems like it might be another attempt to frame Magneto in a heroic light.
i'm excited for first x-men. it looks like the only place to catch a decent wolverine these days.
First X-Men looks super boring. Was this book really necessary? I wish Marvel would stop messing with past continuity so much.
Wasn't the plot "young scared kid coming into his powers blows up himself and Wolverine" used already when Claremont came back to Uncanny X-men? tsktsktsk.

It's also the same story Austen wrote about Northstar joining the team, though his issue was actually emotionally amazing and not some cheap cash grab like this clearly is.

Wolverine looks big in those pages. Guess they are going for a Hugh Jackman vibe, which makes me wonder if he'll have an expanded role in the XMFC sequel (hence them shoe-horning Logan into the pre-X-men continuity in the comics)...
I just get the impression (from this preview and the past interviews) that they are retconning Logan into more of a teacher/mentor role like he currently is in WaTXM.
I have not kept up to date on my Wolverine continuity (it changes annually) but I thought he was a killer/black ops operative before joining Department H and definitely before joining the X-Men?
NOW it seems like they are saying "well he still did that 'killer' stuff, but BEFORE all that and AFTER the war he was a teacher and leader of a mutant squad."
He's the headmaster of a school now....I can buy that. Character progression and all that. But now this is retcon is trying to tell me he had this role before.
And Uncanny X-Force for me. At least for a while.
First X-Men looks about as bad as I'd expected when the project was announced, which is a shame because I don't dislike Gage's writing. But this seems more like a contrived series to: justify Wolverine in a teacher role as graffiX mentioned + maybe open the doors for Wolverine to make an earlier appearance in First Class movies + give Neal Adams what he wants...rather than be driven by a strong story. Oh, well. I'll just ignore it from here on out.
Yea I'm gonna pass on First X-men
So wait, this series takes place in 1970's Harlem and before the creation of the X-Men(by the looks of things)? So I take that the 0-5 are going to be from the 90's then . . .
Pass.
darknessatnoon: I knew you were the only reasonable R'Chell Summers fan.
The preview isn't interesting at all, but I am still curious enough to check it out.
