Patrick's art is amazing as usual, I'm not familiar with Justin's work, but I'm really looking forward to this...

I'd rather see a new Secret Weapons title than Rai and the Future Force.

I'll be really interested to hear what new titles they'll be coming out with once they've fully established the older/revamped characters in this universe.

I keep saying Secret Weapons would make for a good, traditional team book at Valiant. It could be a place for characters who might otherwise struggle to carry a solo book to shine like Ninjak, Dr. Mirage, Livewire and Stronghold.

Couldn't agree more. Although only time will tell if characters like Dr. Mirage even show up in this universe.

You know this got me thinking, Valiant did say that they're working on a female lead for a team. This may sound crazy but what if they turn the new Rai into a woman?

Well the tease was a dude, but you never know what could happen. I was thinking the female lead would work for a new HARD Corps, or it could be Livewire for a new Secret Weapons or even a female Dr. Mirage. A while back either Fred or Warren said something about being a big fan of a group of characters for one of the next titles, but no other teases...there are only so many Valiant "groups" however.

I could be into a female Rai or a H.A.R.D. Corps team led by Livewire. In fact H.A.R.D. Corps would fit very well into the corporate warfare that seems to be going on in Harbinger and Bloodshot right now (and which will hopefully crossover into X-O as well). A female Rai is also not a crazy idea at all, considering the original Rai's wife was just as baddass as he was, and they killed that version of Rai off in #7!

I think HARD Corps could really be mined for some great concepts. Older characters who are still badass, becoming what they are fighting, corporate warfare, ultra violent at times...I always thought there was some really good stuff in there.

What about Erica Pierce? What if she had the Solar expierence instead of Phil Selleski and this time was a hero instead of a crazy villian?

That would be very strong female lead, the cool twist would be she has ultimate power and is altrustic but will this power ultimately corrupt her?

I think Valiant could play with the Solar concept that way and provide an interesting twist, that and I like see through pajamas

Good call, Hawkeye! And I too am a fan of see-through Pajamas. Erica is the one major female character in Valiant's catalogue (Zephyr would be the only other female even close). It's an interesting idea, but they would have to tread carefully given they don't own the rights to Solar...They do, however, own the rights to Phil Seleski (Solar's Valiant alter ego) and can use him, but again would need to be careful how it is done if they choose to do it.

Seeing Phil Seleski as Erica's subordanent and the situation reversed would definetly be a huge twist, this time Phil Seleski is the nut and Erica is the hero as long as no one is wearing a red body suit with a cyclops visor and radiation symbol we're good

They're is no copyright on atomic accidents and weird physics stuff.

Erica Pierce- Woman of the Atom!

The more I think about it the more I like it- Erica Pierce, regular lady the most powerful being in the universe and she keeps her sh!t in check because she thinks about it before she does it, that book could be very meta-physical and mind blowing. She would be like the Reed Richards/Super Man of the Valiant U!

this is the only Valiant property i'm interested in besides X-O. looking forward to it.

guess i'll also have to read "The Strange Talent of Luther Strode" sometime, since it landed Jordan "Team 7" at DC as well as this.

There is a lot of room for characters like Hotshot and Livewire to be developed more in Nu Valiant.
