Captain America #15 *Spoilers*

spoilers:

-Cap and Falcon are fighting a group called the Discordians in New York. The Discordians can cause missiles to materialize out of thin air, create volcanoes in the street, etc.
-Falcon is hurt, so Cap goes to help him out. The Discordians combust on their own.
-A TV pundit derides Cap, calling him a relic and so forth.
-Cap watches this from home, where Rachel Leighton is staying. Cap expresses some anxiety about in Pundit might be right.
-Sharon shows up and says Dum-Dum wants Steve on the phone. Steve doesn't say a word to her, and Rachel wonders what's going on between the two of them, Sharon replies by wondering what's going on between her and Steve.
-At Hydra's flying island, Zemo opines on the Discordians, saying they could be better. Bravo brushes him off. Queen Hydra says she's got something important for Zemo.
-The Queen tells Bravo he should pick a little more finesse, and Bravo says all they're doing is due to the failure of politics. "Do you want to be a politician? Or a conqueror?"
-At the Hellicarier, Dum-Dum reveals the maimed cadaver of Reed Braxton AKA the TV pundit, while he's still on the air. faux!Pundit talks about there being further attacks by the Discordians before Sharon calls Cap to say that they're attacking Washington.

I give this a B. It didn't feel different from when Bru was the solo writer, take that as you will. I'm really just hanging in there for #19.
Also, it looks like Sharon won't survive the end of Bru's run, at least as Steve's partner.

That remark Bravo made to Zemo reminded me of the remark Black Glove made to Joker. It's completely going to bite him in the ass. I liked the issue overall. I liked a lot here for some reason, I think he's been shining since after they stabilized his serum again. Cap should be angrier more. It is always nice to see.

This issue was really, really good. I like a what Brubaker is doing with this relaunch a lot more than others but this was an exceptionally good issue. I'm going to be super depressed if Cap breaks up with Sharon though, I love her :(

I'd have to agree. I like Diamondback and Cap being good friends, not lovers.

She just shot a good buddy of Steve's (Dman) to death.

It was unavoidable, but they are both kind of freaked out about it. The rift is more down to Sharon's guilt and Cap's grief than anything else.

Ah, but is Brubaker writing Sharon and Steve as having a rift between them because she shot his friend, or did Brubaker write a story about Sharon shooting Steve's friend to setup their breakup?

I don't know. His run in winding down, might be putting up the chairs on the table, so to speak, for the benefit of the next writer.

He isn't in it for much. He's doing what Bravo and Queenie tell him, thought isn't completely happy about it.

Why is he following orders? Does he owe them? Surely he has a sneaky plan up his sleeve to take over? Are the orders evil? (like kill civilians because we can, mwwwhahahaha)

Given that Sharon had a scar left a year or so after the affair, I'm sure he did. It hasn't been addressed on panel, though.

There being no bigger Steve/Sharon fan than Brubaker, I rather doubt this is going to end with them breaking up (Sharon's almost certainly going to be in the next movie, anyway, so the character isn't going anywhere).
