Suckers bet. Not only are they more expensive than floppies but you can't keep what you buy. The only ones I get are the free ones that you can back up.

    My blog.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

I'm gonna chime in with another "don't buy digital" comment.

People should feel free to buy digital or paper as they see fit.

Just as long as they buy them from me.

I PREFER digital. It's easier and more convenient. I was on the verge of giving up this hobby until digital came along. Now I buy more comics than ever, and my enthusiasm has been restored.

Other than trades for birthdays and Christmas or when I find them for a good price, I've got entirely digital.

Honestly, having an ipad has just revolutionised my comic reading.

I don't read a significant number of comics with any one publisher, but if there were an all around $50/year for independent publishers I'd be all over that. As long as it worked on the iPad of course.

Do you have a Comixology store that Americans can use? I wouldn't have a problem buying them through you as long as the prices were the same.

Not exactly related per say, but I just tried the Dark Horse Digital site and for what ever reason their reader doesn't seem to like my computer. I have zero problems with comixology but the free books I tried to view after signing up at darkhorse just refuse to load, which is a shame as I wa really looking forward to trying Falling Skys.

The Dark Horse digital in general is buggy, laggy, slow and at times force quits itself when I'm using it on my Ipad

ComiXology dominates digital for good reason. Their apps aren't perfect, but they've always been better than the legal competition.

This. I personally am loving the age of digital comics. Sure collecting hard copies is fun but for just sheer reading enjoyment, digital is where it's at!

Regarding what Ian said, I do love dollar boxes, but the way today's comics are told in long arcs it's tough to get a complete story. Digital comics are pretty great for filling those gaps. When you can get five issues for a dollar and one issue for two dollars digitally it's still cheaper than getting the trade.

Yeah, I've spent a lot of money on those Comixology Marvel sales (just missed Friday's Incredible Hercules by 1 minute!)

While I wish you could get the discount on pre-ordering digital, sometimes there are some issues I do not want in hard copy. So I agree with everything you said in this post Shawn.
