Great interview. Diggle's editorship really did mark a turn in 2000AD's quality; it was more than noticeable when reading the comic (which I started collecting in the early 90s) when he took over and series like Necronauts were commissioned. It wasn't always smooth sailing admittedly but then I dobt it ever is in a weekly anthology title with that much history. Matt Smith's current run as editor has ushered in a new golden age for the comic in my opinion and Diggle helped lay the foundation for that.
