Does Transformers Regeneration One count as 'commercial'? What about Mega Man? Or really any property owned by a parent company/publisher? The criteria here seems slippery.

Marvel & DC still dominate the monthly sales charts, don't they? They're still the companies the comics community spectate the heaviest, aren't they? Their spandex folk are still the face of American comics, aren't they?

Oh yeah, they most definitely do but Image ranks third.

    I still follow these titles:

    DC
    Aquaman
    Batgirl
    Batman
    Batman Incorporated
    Batman: The Dark Knight
    Batwing
    Batwoman
    Detective Comics
    Green Lantern
    Green Lantern: New Guardians
    Justice League
    Nightwing
    Red Lanterns

    Marvel
    Age of Apocalypse
Avengers vs. X-Men (it's gotten slightly better)
    Journey Into Mystery
    Uncanny X-Men
    Uncanny X-Force
    X-Men (current volume)
    Was following X-23

Plus a number of books from Boom! Studios, Dark Horse, IDW, Zenescope, and the like.
