They need to throw more Spidey related work at you, Uncle Rog, than you can sling a web at! You're the best!

WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! An Uncle Rog story coming out NEXT WEEK?!?! Awesome news! And "Acme Warehouse on Jamaica Bay"??? This is almost certainly the warehouse that Spidey tracked the burglar to in Amazing Fantasy 15. This has awesome written all over it. (Sweet cover too.)

    Hi Roger,
It's a shame that the Black Cat couldn't be Daredevil's crime fighting partner in exchange of using the Black Widow for Spider-Man. I always felt that Natasha should have been Spider-Man's first heroine crime fighting partner after ASM #86. It might have been interesting to see her train Spidey in hand to hand combat as well as improve his investigative skills. Thus, I felt that a big opportunity was missed because a partnership between The Black Widow x Spider-Man might have made some of their team up stories interesting.

I wish that you would consider the idea of doing an untold tale of the Black Widow and Spider-Man working together that would be based on stories straight from the headlines like NBC's Law and Order.

I feel that the Black Cat x Daredevil are better off together. But I feel that aside from The Winter Soldier, The Black Widow should make Spider-Man her crime fighting partner as well as make him her apprentice. Don't you agree?

Absolutely agree with this. I wouldn't mind ASM going back to a monthly schedule and having a few different writers for Spidey again.

No. Nobody agrees with this. Nobody will ever agree with this.

I just want to see more adventures between The Black Widow and Spider-Man. What's wrong with that?

There's nothing wrong with it. But Spidey/Widow adventures are probably best left to the occasional team-up. It's the idea of making them a permanent team (and even weirded, making Spidey the Widow's apprentice) that many people find strange. And the idea of ripping off Law & Order seems to come out of left field.

With regards to Law and Order, I was providing an example of ripped from the headlines, meaning that the stories between The Black Widow and Spider-Man could come from BBC, CNN, and other news publication of stories that Marvel doesn't follow up on, like the events in Syria or the Mexican Drug Cartel. Here is an example of what I am referring to:

I never said that the stories have to be based on Law and Order. Just the stories that the creators researched on before they write their stories.

Sorry Darthfury, I'd rather have Spider-Man stay Spider-Man. The MVP clone is out there with a Spider Suit, Widow could have him if she absolutely must, though I'd rather he have his life wrecked and be batted around by Spider villains determined not to let another Spider run around ruining things.

    That´s a shame!

Since you left Spider-man waaaay back, nobody has even come close to achieve what you did on that run!
It stil ranks as the best spidey run ever, the one that defines how he is as character, actually how every character is as character!

I have only one question Uncle Rog, do you truly feel like you´ve written all spider-man stories you wanted?
Or if someone were to hand the book to you, you woukd take it?

    Thanks for the memories!

If Roger Stern didn't leave Spider-Man, Peter x Felicia's relationship would not have ended so badly. Besides that I am sure that Roger could write more stories on Spider-Man by focusing on source material that no one else has done. Imagine if he could write a story that would feature Mystique either working with or against Spider-Man, and the revelation that she was the Black Cat around the middle part of their relationship while the real Black Cat was under the control of the Kingpin.

Spidey never had Mystique as an enigma in his life before. A female villain who is secretly his ally helping him out indirectly.
