Ok I've been kind of thinking about this one for a couple of days & it's probably wrong but this is my theory for what the big thing is in #700

I think it's obvious with the Marvel now teaser & the whole alpha eyes thing in Spidey's costume that it has something to do with Alpha so somehow or another I think Peter & Alpha are gonna somehow do the old mind/body switcheroo. Alpha will be the one in the webs albeit in Peter's body & he'll have to navigate all the relationships Peter has not only in the hero community but in his civilian identity all without giving away the situation he now finds himself in.

So where does that leave Peter In a status quo he hasn't been in a long time & thats back in High School Peter will navigate all the typical high school stuff without somehow not giving away he isn't really Andy & Since Andy will have powers as Alpha by then Peter/Andy will still be able to keep himself in the Hero game albeit with powers he's not use to.

Best I could come up with

Someone close to Peter dies and it causes him to retire.

    Or

Ben Reilly or Gwen Stacey come back from the dead....maybe both?

I used some of my favorite theories from here in this post over at The Comic Vault:

Amazing Spider-Man #700 Predictions, Speculation, and Crackpot Theories
I had a letter printed once in Amazing Spider-Man #604!

Before Marvel NOW!, my pull list was 14 Marvel books. Now, it's more like 5 Marvel, 7 DC, and a few indies.

i was thinking about something while listening to the Clone Saga Chronicles podcast and it hit me how people been bring up about Kaine not looking like Kaine in Grim Hunt and Who Was Ben Reilly. with showing no signs of clone degeneration. so i was thinking what if its reveal that Kaine is Ben. I mean who's to say that the Jackal with his "Smoke and Mirrors" didn't make Ben think he was Kaine with taking Kaine's memories cells and giving them to Ben .(like he did to Ben with Peter's in the first Clone Saga in the 70s) it would give good reason to why Kaine The Scarlet Spider cause its really Ben.
    pull list:
Amazing Spider-man, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Action Comics, and Batman

Well, now I've really stepped in it this time and wrote a full-blown article about my predictions. Not sure if it's crack-worthy enough, but given my track record, it's probably way off the mark.

    Spidey Speculation on...Amazing Spider-Man #700.

I like yours better than mine, but I have a tendency to not put much effort into things I'm not getting paid for.

No wonder you're so bad at sex.

I'll still stick to my serious answer of cancer. It'd be cool to see it treated the same way they dealt with Flash losing his legs.

Thanks. And your article was well-done, particularly because yours has a cool list with things like "Peter moving to Japan and gets a giant robot." And good eyes on spotting Carnage in that cover and interesting theory about him being the villain for the issue.
