For those of us who didn't read the UU from the beginning, what was the Ultimate Origin of the F4? Was Reed Richards trying to recreate the super soldier serum or something? Is there some established idea behind the F4 or a specific type of threat they assembled to fight? That might help narrow things down.

If they're anything like 616 F4, Sue is the obvious new leader. Especially since Ultimate Reed says she was always a little smarter than he

No, they gained their abilities through an accident with the Think Tank's N-Zone dimensional teleporter; a glitch in the system as a result of Doom's tampering with the machine caused an explosion/malfunction that transported all 5 (Reed, Johnny, Sue, Ben and Doom) at different points of the globe at the same time it altered their physical structure and DNA. At least, that's how I remember it.

Sue, Ben, Nova and Captain Mahr-Vehl would be my pick for the new Fantastic Four. If Johnny is still alive he could be in it. But I like him as a part of the X-Men. Or he could be a part of both teams.
Pull: All-New XMen, Avengers, New Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Captain America, Indestructible Hulk, Avenging SpiderMan, Superior SpiderMan, Uncanny XMen, Chew, UC:Ultimates, UC:SpiderMan, UC:XMen.

I have another idea for a lineup. Add Alex Power as the new member. Have it be...Sue, Ben, Johnny, & Alex Power. Alex would need to debut in the UU though. He doesn't exist there thus far. The reason I like Alex Power with the other original 3 is because the writers made Ben human, and Alex is also human. Now Sue, Ben, & Johnny are all human that just call upon there powers when wanted, and they change because of there powers. Alex Power works the same way as them. Because the writers made Ben Grimm human, he no longer goes through the story of feeling different as the Thing. So I figured the new member should reflect that decision, and he should function the same as the other 3. I felt the new member should not have the same "looks different & feels like an outsider" kinda story that the Thing had going on. With Alex Power you don't get that kinda story again. He is human, his powers function the same as the other 3 in that he summons them at will. His powers are also different enough from the other 3 that he would fit well, and make for a good complete and dynamic team. I don't feel like he is an odd choice. Alex Power feels like a good choice to me.

    So.....

    1. The Invisible Woman as the leader
    2. Ben Grimm (No longer called the Thing) as second in command
    3. The Human Torch just as a member
    4. Alex Power just as a member

I like this idea because Alex Power fits in nicely with the other 3. What does everyone else think of Alex Power?

Spider-Woman, so they can finally use her consistently.

Alot of people have suggested Spider-Woman. She is one of my top choices for a fourth member. And with her past with Johnny Storm it wouldn't be right out the blue, and it would make sense.

Spider-woman really does seem like the natural fit, now doesn't she?

But I do like the idea of combining Project Pegasus with the Think Tank, and make that the new HQ.

I'd expand the roster tho', do something new and daring with it, might as well go full Future Foundation without Reed anyway.

    1. Invisible Woman
    2. Wonder Man ( Ben)
    3. Human Torch
    4. Spider-Woman

    5. Nova
    6. Quasar ( Vaughn, transformed by one of the artefacts at the PP into a super-being)
    7. Crystal
    8. Captain Mahr-Vehl

Let's go cosmic with this! =) I wouldn't mind a return to the 5th World of Thanos and the Seed, for instance.

Well, this is the Ultimate Universe so it doesn't have to be called "Fantastic Four (4)" It could be "Fantastic Five (5)" since you know, the word "five" starts with the letter "F". :) But my ultimate bad ass team would consist of Sue, Ben, Johnny, Mar Vehl, and Namor. You know Namor is alive. I picture Ben having smashed that containment unit that Doom had him trapped in and let him go. I wouldn't be upset with Nova in a slot, maybe Johhny's if editorial is still wanting him to be a part of team X. It would make sense for Nova to be a part of the team since cosmic and other dimension adventures coincide with the UU. I think Spider-Woman should still be a part of the Ultimates or play a bigger part in Ultimate Spider-Man. A new F4 or F5 ;) would be great because I'm really jonesing to return the cosmic part of the Ultimate Universe.

Hmmm... Peter Parker would have been a great fit. A very intelligent guy who can wrap up opponents like Reed does. Wait... They killed Parker as a publicity stunt.

I don't think I would have liked Peter being a part of the FF even if he was still alive he would fit more with the new X-men.

I like the idea of the Fantastic Five. It sounds good. Namor also sounds like a good idea for a member. How about this? If Reed Richards dies, then Ben Grimm takes the name of Mr. Fantastic. Monica Chang took the name of Black Widow even though the first Black Widow turned villain & died. So I say this could work. Ben also looks like a character that could be called Mr. Fantastic with his purple glowing powers. It just sounds like a good match for him. That would also solve the question of what to call him now. So how about this lineup?

    1. Sue Grimm (marries Ben) - Invisible Woman
    2. Ben Grimm - (New) Mr. Fantastic
    3. Johnny Storm - The Human Torch
    4. Spider-Woman
    5. Namor

Ultimate Comics: Fantastic Five, how does that sound?

No point arguing with him. I agree they should have Jessica in the new F4, it would balance out the gender ratio of the team and she would be used more. Plus, the interaction between Jessica and Sue Storm would be interesting. The extremely sexist Ultimates has only had her as background character. What a waste.
