    Nonsense!
    Superman has many good stories!
For the Man Who Has Everything, Man of Steel, Burne's run with some expections (like the one with the supposed sex tape with Big Barda), Exiled, Day of the Kryptonite Man, Critical Condition, Camelot Falls, All Star Superman, Up Up and Away, Brainiac, What's funny with Good Justice And the American Way,Supergirl from Krypton (all though this is considered as a shared adventure with Batman).

Man, that sounds like Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation. Maybe Darkseid has won after all.

The responses are as predictable as they are sad.

Of course he doesnt OP. Especially not a character whos been around for 70 years that contentiously outsold all other DC characters continuously up untill the mid 90s.

Since Superman has always stood for true heroism, the triumph of good over evil, and purity of purpose--any story that promotes those ideals is judged to be either not worth reading or simply unrealistic (and therefore "stupid," as we so often hear). Which, I believe, is why the back catalogue of Superman stories is largely ignored now.

However, since the stories that reiterate the cynicism of our age have become trite and unoriginal--I think it's really revolutionary if a writer creates a narrative that strongly and convincingly argues for those heroic ideals. Maybe a writer has to come at it from a different angle--because today's readers are so resistant to the notion of nobility in their comics--but I think a great writer should aspire to inspire his readers and show a better way of being in the universe.
