Confusion About Star-Lord

In the latest issue of Avengers Assemble #5, there is a breadcrumb of a clue about how Starlord and Thanos could have survived the implosion of the Cancerverse.

I think it involves the cosmic cube Starlord was holding at the time and the new cosmic cube being constructed on Earth, the one that Thanos is hunting. It could be that these two cubes are linked by the energy they channel or they could in fact be the same cosmic cube (remember, the cube Starlord was holding was given to him by Kang, a master of time travel).

WOuld that mean that the real Nova could've survived as well.

Love the way Thanos finished him last time, was hoping the death would stick a shade longer to give Drax's absence some weight. Yey with the movie it would take an imagination only as vivid as Carl Barks to resurrect our favorite green Riddick/Kratos clone.

They have said it a bunch of times. Although it is lame, there is nothing THAT ridiculous in there to say otherwise.

Sometimes cosmic stories take their time to explain this sort of stuff I guess.

I'm still waiting for an explanation as to why Bug is normal sized and not in the microverse (unless they gave that already and I just missed it).

So I guess that nice statue they made in honor of him is not needed anymore. It would be rather sad if Quill and Thanos made it out, but Rider was still trapped there, but since they seem to be pushing this new Nova I doubt Rider would show up unless they were going to have him retire from the role or something.

I'd rather see more stories about characters being trapped rather than killed. It's not as much of a cheat when they come back and it's a suitable end to a story.

In the case of Nova though, there's no reason they can't have more than one. There's supposed to be more than one... it's a corps.

They could just call the younger one Kid Nova if they wanted to distinguish the two.

The subpar depiction of the Hulk convinced me otherwise until recently, it is basically the Avengers version of Astonishing X-Men from what I gather, which means it doesn't make sense when it fits in with any of the other actual series and their timelines, it just goes and does its own thing and we have to accept it.

Although, how they are going to mesh that with the upcoming cartoon of the same name is the question? A big part of me hopes they cancel it after Bendis wraps up this arc, so as to not cause greater confusion then this book has already caused.
