I agree, I'm not even a huge Catwoman fan, but she was all kinds of awesome in TDKR.

Brubaker's run was pretty much flawless (especially the first few arcs). Right up there with the greats.

The Brubaker and Cooke run was the highlight of Selina's fictional career so far. A true great, one of the best non-Batman Bat-books ever.

Brubaker by far. I'd love to see Kathryn Immonen or Marjorie Liu writing a Selina ongoing. Not sure what to think about Ann's interviews given that she seems to want to continue in the same vein as Winick....

How did they write an ongoing run of Catwoman?

Yes. Back when this was being published, I used to say here that "This is the best title that you're not buying." And I'd always have several others agree with me. But sales on it were always pretty bad.

Near the end of the run, editorial insisted that the book tie into several different DC mini-series in an obvious attempt to increase sales. And these truthfully weren't up to par with most of the rest of the series. These are inevitably what critics reference in their attempts to discredit the entire run (Amazons Attack, etc.). But there was a lot of really good stuff here. I unhesitatingly recommend his entire run.

I'm interested in picking up the run, even though I am vehemently against the incredibly ugly costume she sported during the run.
