Will there ever be a crossover involving the Dark & Edge lines of DC books with Vertigo? Should there be a crossover & which books would you like to see involved?

Edge is more of a Wildstorm thing. Dark is pre-Vertigo. We know characters like Timothy Hunter will show up in Justice League Dark, and I wouldn't be surprised if anything from Sandman was used too.
As long as it's done right but then again I don't know why Vertigo & Wildstorm were not merged in the first place.
To paint comic books as childish and illiterate is lazy. A lot of comic books are very literate - unlike most films.
In an alternate universe my parents are Johnny Cash & Lita Ford.
Really the only Vertigo book that could crossover with the DCnU would be Hellblazer, and I'm not sure if the world is ready for Crisis of Infinite Constantines. Pretty much every Vertigo character associated with the DCU has returned in some form: Shade, JC, Black Orchid, Tim Hunter, Kid Eternity, the Un-Men, etc.
Creator owned books could concievably crossover, but DC would need the permission of the creators. None of the current books that Vertigo is publishing would really fit well with the DCnU, in my opinion.
Because Vertigo is creator-owned comics moving forward. Wildstorm still had their company owned characters, which have ended up in the DCnU, just like Vertigo's company owned characters.
I wouldn't mind seeing some of Wildstorm's creator owned books turn up for Vertigo, though. For example, a sequel to The Highwaymen could be a lot of fun.
I hope not.
Even though I'm still enjoying a few Dark/Edge titles and I've been collecting Vertigo since before the imprint even started (through Swamp Thing, Sandman, Doom Patrol etc) I hate crossovers; I much prefer comic series that exist autonomously in their 'own' universe.
I don't want the books I read or TV I watch to be part of some big convoluted confusion of continuity (apart from the news, obvs), so why would I want it for comics?
(Having said that... I'm quite looking forward to catching up with the Swamp Thing/Animal Man crossover - so feel free to ignore anything else I say)
