Default The Source of Superman's power: Inertia?

    Curious about Superfans reaction:

Saw the Loop for Thursday 19th on Attack of the Show with a guy who wrote the Science behind Superpowers who consulted on Watchman and Amazing Spider-man.

He pointed out how the source of Superman's power came first from low Earth Gravity and then the yellow sun. He mentioned a new article by a scientist who says that all the powers we associate with Superman can be explained by Superman controlling his and other things Inertia (well except the power of Super ventrilqist). Flight, Super-speed, Invulnerability...

Would you be open if DC changed Superman's abilities to something more like this and more realistic?

    Update:
This is the Professor who spoke:

Eh, I really don't care where his powers come from, though I'd prefer if they just kept the yellow sun thing since..why fix what isn't broken? On the other hand..I think it would be silly to change them to try to be more "realistic" since..this is the DCU we're talking about here. Realism went out the door a long long time ago and it won't ever be coming back. I'd prefer they focus on writing good stories instead of trying to add a bit of realism.

Plus one might argue that it is because of the lack of realism that some people like DC/Marvel/etc. comics.

A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.

Why change the source of his powers? It doesn't matter to me that his powers come from the sun. I don't read Superman for realism. I read it for interesting characters, fun adventures, and plenty of action. There is always this big clamor to make superheroes "realistic". I think if you're tying to make a superhero relistic, you missing the point.
