Why didn't they get Joe Kelly to do the script? Uggghhh.
they've both been very funny writers Way just has a wider appeal and not to mention an amazing first name ;)
and what's wrong with juvenile humor? right now there's no other comic book series with equal humor out there, which is exactly what we need. I'm not saying I don't enjoy series like X-Force, but the world is f-up enough as it is reading something that makes me laugh and makes fun of all the sh%t that's currently happening IRL is just what I want from Deadpool... ironic that a murderer can actually give a sense of relief from all the real life murdering...
There is nothing wrong with comedy. I just don't find Daniel Way's Deadpool funny.
Kelly's was hilarious. It was still kinda trashy, filled with pop culture references (the famous Shoryuken on Kitty Pryde is from Kelly's run). And you know, the funniest comic book ever in Deadpool 11 where he and Blind Al travel back in time to the 60s. Wade has to pretend to be Peter Parker and Blind Al has to pretend to be Aunt May. Hilarity ensues.
I get the feeling you guys haven't even read Joe Kelly's run. You need to, it's the run that defined Deadpool as an actual character and not just a parody of Deathstroke.
