It looks like the suit forms over Superman's body in the DCnU instead of it being a spandex that he puts on underneath his clothing, I kind of suspected that this was the case anyway for some reason but I'm happy with the result.

    Great issue (in my opinion).

We saw that back in issue 7 or 8, though.

True, I think it was just more emphasized in this issue. Other than that I have no idea what the "secret" is or if this is the first book in a storyline that will reveal the secret and/or more secrets. Who knows? Fun issue, though.

    Regarding the suit:

    - why did it lose 'form'? (revert to the plain version)

Is it because it was too damaged? ('Predator' has weapons more powerful and damaging than Darkseid's Omega Beams? Darkseid's beams were on a 'low' setting when they hit Superman 5 years ago? The gizmo that latched onto the suit countered the bio-software and rendered the camo-tech inert?)

Is it because Superman was unconscious? (Superman wasn't as unconscious back when the nanobots shoved him in space or when Anguish knocked him out?)

People who chime in on vs. threads with "I don't like Superman at all, but he'd win.", STOP HELPING! Superman doesn't need your damning him with faint praise, thank you.

Yeah Jurgens does have good art but he tends to have that old school stiffness to it sometimes though.

So this is the first issue I bought since I dropped the Superman title with issue #2. The hook? "ORIGIN OF THE SUITE!" Stood there a couple seconds and thought, what the hell, I'll give it one more shot and see how things are going, if the dialogue is as bad as it was in issue 1 & 2, atleast the inter-workings of the suite are revealed, right?

SUCKER! One lousy page of Kryptonian bio-tech over-taking Clark's body and then getting DESTROYED by this Predator looking creature with no logical explanation whatsoever? Reminded me why I dropped this book in the first place. I actually liked the sit-down dinner with Clark, Lucy, Lois and Lois's BF (who could become a villain soon enough, maybe a Metallo figure direction..) and you could just feel the tension Clark must be feeling sitting at that table of awkwardness. Nonetheless, the suite, to me, is drawn just-OKAY here and unnecessary thought blocks continue to remind me of this amateurish title, although not as bad as the first couple issue' with Perez.

I got it for the suite of the origin, only for DC to put doubt yet again in the mind of this Supes fan. I won't be tricked again, but depending on my mood, MAY give this new arc a buy for next issue for the benefit of the doubt but probably nothing further until #0 issues.

Lobdell's run can't come soon enough.

    Superman #11: 5.2/10
