The new 52 Superman Issue 1

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum(and well pretty new to comics) and I really want to start reading the new 52 Superman comics.

I've done some looking around and I got a little confused. Is there two different number 1's? I've seen some done by George Perez and then the Action comic Superman by Grant Morrison

Sorry for the noob question. Did the George Perez issues get cancel? Which series should I start reading/buying?

It's OK there are two separate series..

Superman (that was done by George Perez but I believe Lobdell will be taking over) which is taking place in modern day

and Action Comics (by Grant Morrison) which is taking place 5 years in the past

I'm reading both currently the Action title is more interesting to me but that may change won't know until we get there..

Well Action Comics#14 I think is when it starts to take place in present time.

I honestly don't recommend Superman, I would wait to give the title a try till issue 0 in September when Scott Lobdell start's his run. For now, I recommend Grant Morrison's Action Comics as that is the best representation of Superman in the DCU52 so far..

I'd recommend reading both. The first story arc of both series is coming out in a trade paperback. So you can grab them to get you started.
