I've been with the same company over 21 years. If it continues to stay open I will hopefully retire there as well, in another 25 years!

I started with this company in 2006. I was laid off for a little over a year though, but during that time I was unable to find employment anywhere else, so this has been my only job since then. Sometimes I feel like I can retire from here, other times I feel like I want to leave the profession. I'm working on something to fall back on now, that will hopefully be a reality in about two years. At that time I can be more comfortable knowing I don't just have one thing that can pay the bills.

6 months. Was at my old job for 6 years but had to leave because the management they hired a few years ago ran the company to the ground and they had several lay offs. I knew if I stayed there I would be laid off this year and sure enough, my department was laid off three months ago.
Just over 13 years, if you don't count the three months in '02 where I quit, couldn't find work and came back.

Just over 13 years, if you don't count the one month in '00 where I was laid off because the new building wasn't ready, then got rehired as soon as it was.
Oh, and desperately trying to get out.
My blog.
We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

Fifteen years.
What have I always believed? That, on the whole, and by and large, if a person lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, at the end, more or less, turn out ok.
13 years. I've done more or less the same job the whole time, save for my having been promoted to part-time Administration and head of a program earlier this year. I'm now the Assistant Director of the clinic where I work and the program leader for our substance abuse services. I'm also in charge of the clnic's QA functions and I conduct a fair number of trainings, for staff and for the general community. That's on top of my very full clinical caseload, which includes two groups a week (three starting in September).

KRAMER'S LAWS:
1) Most people are stupid.
2) Most people who aren't stupid often behave as if they were stupid.
3) Many people who are not stupid nonetheless believe a lot of astonishingly stupid things.

Four years. I'd be amenable to sticking around for the long haul, but we'll see what happens after the big reorganization that's coming up next year.

Three years, which seems to be how long I can go before losing my shit dealing with micromanagement and office politics.
10 and half years outside a year and half lay off. Which I came back from to find the place had change for the worse. It almost feels like 2 different jobs, hoping now that I am part of leadership I can work to bring it back to something respectable.

I'm not liberal, liberals have beliefs. I'm a democrat, the only belief I have is that republicans are wrong.

5 years all told. I worked there for two and left for a job in a juvenile correction facility, who managed to find a way to fire me when I blew the whistle on a staff member for hurting a kid. Now I've been back for 3.
Just 6 months, but I love my job and my colleagues! I feel good to deal everything of my work~~
