from the review, i'm most curious about the madelynes confronting cyclops.

They called out "husband" and took their back-alimony from him.

I'm also getting a bit worn out from seeing these omnipotent X-Men float about and never make any headway.

It kinda is. The main book - in which the P5 do make headway - doesn't acknowledge UXM at all, so this is Gillen's baby and his alone.

Anyway, solid issue if not spectacular. Sinister's hilarious tactics made up for the painfully predictable outcome - Power corrupts! Even though it didn't pre-AvX!

8/10 sounds fair.

It was their accent that took him off guard. I wish the Lilliputian Gambits would have tied Colossus to the beach and mocked him.

That would have been awesome! And you're right. The accent and being called "ma chere," repeatedly. If the Gambits had been naked, it would have been perfect.

Sinister was making an homage to Kenji Uedo's meat sculpture of Emma. The man knows his art!

And I LOVED this issue! It was so much fun. The little Gambits attacking a horrified Colossus was hysterical!

He was definitely enjoying himself ... over fine food and wine, while his perfect plan unfolded.

The only one who had a clue and was able to escape his net was Magik -- with Colossus. I wonder what Sinister has planned for them?
