Default Anyone else reading Man of God?

I've really been enjoying this book from Pinwheel Press, but I never hear it mentioned at all. Though it's only on issue #2, it's quickly moving up my list of most anticipated titles.

I think it has a cool premise, Spawn-esque but different enough, and the pacing has been very good and lean so far, drawing me right in. I really want to know more about this Perpes character and the rings he's after. The art is also great, and the production value is high.

I think if a more high-profile company was putting this book out it would be right up there with Saga and Rachel Rising on critics lists and sales charts. I encourage others to check this one out.

    No one, huh?

I think some people would enjoy really this one. I can't wait for the next issue, some of the preview art on Facebook is great.

I've seen it in the indie section at my LCS but never stopped to flip through. Can you give me a brief rundown of what it's about?

A man is killed in a church fire and wakes up with the ability to see the sins of people he touches. This gift also has other side effects for those he touches.

There is also a concurrent plot of an evil old man named Perpes who is traveling around collecting rings, one of which the main character possesses, and recruiting serial killers etc. for his "Four".

There is also a third plotline concerning some mafia types that has yet to be expanded on, but seems to be of emerging importance.

At only two issues in, I'm loving it and look forward to the next issue more than most others in my pull. The B&W art is also great like I said. I feel I'm getting my money's worth. My only criticisms so far would be a couple similarities to Spawn, but it's moving along nicely.
