Actually, we have always allowed threads about the Batman movies in this forum. There's no problem.

You know what I love about that final shot? The last thing we see is the platform *rising*
At first I didn't like the title, but that's when it connected with me.

I'm probably going to get mocked but I didn't like this movie. But I didn't hate it. I was more like Inception then The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight had lots of moments of suspense TDKR was more predictable then suspenseful. What made The Dark Knight so awesome was pretty much Heath Ledger. TDKR went back to Batman Begins style. The plot was too convoluted and like most people have already said it is freakin hard to understand what anyone is saying in this movie and coupled with the music that was too loud when people are speaking made it very difficult. SUbtitles would make this movie awesome for me but that's just my opinion. 6/10

The good thing about this film was that it just kind of kept getting better. It starts out slow and takes a bit to get into the swing of things, then Batman finds out about Bane and starts getting ready to suit back up and it gets a little better, then he actually does Batman like stuff and it raises a geer, then Bane and Batman face off and the story takes a massive turn, when Bane holds the city hostage its just rollercoaster ride of craziness, and then the ending was literally one of my favorite endings ever.

Well, Harry Knowles sure didn't like the film too much. Warning, massive spoilers in this review:

Yeah, so obviously it wasn't actual Robin and everything, but that little detail was a great surprise.

He was massively fanboyish. Way too much complaining about how it was different from the comics to be taken seriously. I didn't think the movie was perfect either but Christ. Eh such is to be expected from the guy who loved Green Lantern and hated the ending to Toy Story 3.

Can you take this to the other thread, the one specifically about professional reviews.
This thread is for us to discuss our reactions.

I'm still letting it all sink in but I'll just say it was pretty damn great. There were flaws with the film and it wasn't as good as The Dark Knight but ultimately, it's a more than satisfying conclusion. The last act is absolutely stunning. I can only imagine the impact this film would have if it hadn't been so thoroughly spoiled on the internet.

    spoilers:
Still, nothing prepared me for Bane breaking the Bat. Hathaway was great. Michael Caine was very good in the film. Loved the callbacks to Batman Begins. Marion Cotillard's reveal as Talia was already thoroughly spoiled but still done very well; Nolan sure does love letting her play with knives in his films, I'll say that much. John Blake's name revealed to be Robin; I'm assuming it was written like that since most of the audience wouldn't know who Dick Grayson is.

And Batman's line to Bane at the end: "Tell me where the trigger is, then you have my permission to die."
    end of spoilers
