Well, now I can stop calling the woman on the Divided We Fall cover Colleen Wing because who I thought that was before I read this article and saw Kitty's new threads. I actually prefer this costume over her shroud uniform; reminds me of a jumpsuit, but the streamlined design is awesome.

I liked the costume, but I think it's better that it's gone. Notably, it feels like no artist after Lafuente kept the 'hidden figure' part of it, making it skin-tight like every other super-hero costume out there. The first stories with the Shroud would have made no sense if they had been drawn by the same artist than in the most recent issues, as Kitty took pains to mask her identity, gender included, with a very loose costume and a voice altered so that listeners were never sure which gender she sounded like.

i can understand wearing a t-shirt making sense, but jeans? Not practical for fighting.

If I could fly I would most definitely wear a cape, just for the sheer ego of it all. :D

I also understand Wood's reasons but that was not the original purpose of the shroud costume. It wasn't symbolic of her hiding or anything like that. Or symbolic of anything really.

Uhh. Yes it was. She wanted to hide from mainly Peter but also the rest of world. Why else would she wear full head to toe gear when she originally wore something that showed her face. The shroud wasn't really symbolic but no one said it was. Kittys new costume is though.

Because he wanted to be part of the team. Other then that I am not even sure why he wore that when he can do anything and he got rid of it after words. And I am not even sure that is spandex it's more like underarmour. That's more comfortable.

I very disagree that is Superheroes were real that would not wear symbols and what not. Look at human history and your going to ignore all those symbols and uniform designs? Are they going out in spandex and other uncomfortable clothing? Probably not. But to not have a big ol symbol or design to their costume is ridicules. Everyone likes to leave their signature. Hell people assign symbols to things.

Now spandex in the comic book world isn't always spandex. The x-men don't wear spandex but some ultra durable damage reducing clothing. Captain America doesn't wear spandex but some tight denim like fabric.

Also wtf was Magician when the world was going to hell?

Although I wouldn't have phrased it as angrily as this post seems, I do wholeheartedly 100% agree.

For example, just think of the amount of people that would dress in same colour as their power set. If they discharge blue electricity they may want to dress in blue, if they can fire explosive glowing green energy balls from their palms they may dress in green, if hey can projectile purple energy bolts they dress in purple etc, etc.

However, black will always be popular. And so will white.

i loved the outfit when i first saw it but like others said they was mostly using it to hide the fact that she was using her powers when she wasnt suppose to but i love the new out fit its simply not over the top or to sexy its just kitty which i like and plus white will never go out of style and since she in the middle of a war i bet its more comforable than her other outfits and easier to move in ohh and by the way i loved her outfit when she first joined the x-men that skirt dress thing was cute and it stood out from the others idk why but i really loved well i loved all the females outfits in ultimate x-men they had the best sexy out fits out there to me
