Not really, it was okay but its over. I've kind of soured on Hope since AvX. Like Riversong (for those of you who watch Doctor Who), a big part of what made Hope interesting (at least for me) was the mystery. Is she the Phoenix? Isn't she? How is she going to save mutantkind? And so on. Without that mystery she's kind of just another run of the mill action girl with problems, nothing special. Unless AvX kills her, I hope they find a good place for her to be interesting in AvX.

this has got to be the worse x-men spinoff ever. the stories are atrocious the art is fugly. why did this last so long? Ive read 7 issues so far and think the lights are annoying and hopes magic touch is absurd. the xmen guest appearances in this book just suck.

If you do decide to continue I recommend skipping issue 8 it's the worst of the series. I can't say I liked this book but I do think it was better than Guggenheim's Young X-Men. Originally Posted by drwho

No though I am curious as to what the status of Hope and the Lights will be post-AvX assuming they leave Utopia as WatXM suggests considering Wolverine's stance on children fighting.
