Russo in an interview months ago claimed that Dixie and others would constantly look at a ratings deal and not really commit to long term storylines as much when he was there. That his big problem at times was , they would see ratings for a show and suddenly try a big swerve or do a show to alter a direction. This happened quite a lot from what he discussed .

Maybe with the Roode storyline they have decided to do longer , better storylines and commit to things more. And not throw drastic sudden swerves out to try and pop a ratings point now.

That sounds like the biggest load of shit i have ever heard.
All Russo did in WCW, when he was head of creative, was swerves, i find it odd that swerves stopped as soon as Russo was gone but his problem was them always wanted to do swerves.

The fact TNA stopped swerving people for now maybe because they realized people were tired of it. Because they did it so many damn times and so long. They even did it when Hogan and Bischoff came in. The idea Russo was somehow in charge when in fact , he was part of the booking committee is a bit hard. Jeff , Dutch Mantell , and finally Hulk and Bisch was his bosses in that company.

Thats why when he didn't have people telling him what to do in WCW, it was the most godawful it had ever been, and why the show got better right after russo left, and why he has never taken reponsibility for a single thing he has ever done in wrestling and for over a decade has ALWAYS blamed someone else?

They just happened to finaly realize constant swerves were bad....when Russo left, those two things were coincidental.

It really became funny whenever a swerve or something TNA did to see "Fucking Russo" happen. Because he may have wrote the TV and spot for it. But he had little hand in the booking that did that. For now TNA isn't pulling a dumb swerve or nothing insane. But that is "for now". I mean give it time and it will likely come back if TNA gets desperate for a ratings point again.

Swerves aren't always bad, i was bitching in the Raw thread that we haven't seen a single swerve forever.
Totaly nonsensical swerves are bad, used in moderation and with logic in mind, they work.
