Started Reading: Properly this year Feb/March, dabled in a couple TPBs in 2011 (Batman, Sandman), i read a couple comics when i was really young, dont remember what ones and never seriously read them. Then it was a bit daunting to find somewhere to jump in. the new 52 has changed that (and the fact i was earning money).

Title of First DC Comic Read: From when i began Batman #1 (2011).

    Favorite Character: Batman
Do You Currently Read Your Favorite Character's Book? : Yes (Batman, Detective Comics, Dark Knight, Arkham Unhinged, Incorporated, ).

    Currently Read:

    Batman
    Batman: Arkham Unhinged
    Batman Incorporated
    The Dark Knight
    Deathstroke
    Detective Comics
    Earth 2
    Flash
    Green Lantern
    Justice League
    Nightwing
    Ravagers
    Red Hood and the Outlaws

Will start reading from the next wave (of the 4 comics):
    Talon
    Team 7

I'm trying to read some of the previous titles from years past, some of the best story arcs i can find for all of the above characters so i can read what i missed out on and get more of an understanding of the characters (even if some aspects of the stories/characters change in the reboot)
Marvel: UXM, UXF, WATXM, AoA, AvX, Secret Avengers, New Avengers, Moon Knight, Super Crooks
DC: Batman, Nightwing, Justice League, Deathstroke

I'm 37 years old...read mostly Uncle Scrooge and other Disney comics as a kid and started getting back into those old Carl Barks stories. I jumped on with the new 52 last fall and am still getting:

    Animal Man
    Batman
    Batman: The Dark Knight
    Batwing
    Batwoman
    Catwoman
    Detective Comics
    Swamp Thing

I have also been picking up lots of indie titles. I need to pare back a bit, but I'm not sure what...I might use the zero issues as a leaping-off point for a few titles.

    39. My first two comics were a Superman book and record where sentient bullets fall to the earth and a Giant sized (I mean HUGE) Batman vs Ras Al Ghul that I think was a 6th Birthday present from a classmate.

Currently I have read just about every book they are putting out, and my pull list for DC is about 35 deep, though I have tired of a few series (Swamp Man, Animal Man, I Vampire) just not my taste, though others seem enthralled by them. Jumping back into GA and Savage Hawkman after dropping them for a few issues. Looking forward to Phantom Stranger. They started the new 52 at the right time for me as I was a lapsed reader. Currently buying about 100 new books a month, it is a great time to be back into the hobby (thankfully my new wife likes comics!)

Many of us over-30-types just refuse to grow up.
Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Started Reading: 198-something, I started comics with the original Transformers series by Marvel. It was issue 19 and debuted Omega Supreme.

Title of First DC Comic Read: Detective Comics, either 612 or 613. It had Catwoman and Catman in it.

Favorite Character: Batman or Alan Scott.

Do You Currently Read Your Favorite Character's Book?: Well, so far I've been picking up Batman Inc., and Earth 2 which has an Alan Scott.

    Currently Read:

Not much really, other than what I just mentioned. DC had mostly turned me off to it the past couple years and the reboot did nothing to change that. It will probably stay that way for me until there's a regime change.

I picked up the first Animal Man trade and like it, so I may continue with that in trade form. I'll also probably pick-up Synder's Batman when it starts coming out in trade. I would likely be following Action Comics, but killing off Jonathan and Martha Kent just turns me off to it.
