"While she'd been busy attacking the outside of the dome, he'd been busy transmuting a small portion of the air into hydrogen.

All it took was a spark and the air behind Ramilla exploded with enough force to launch her into the other side of the dome."

Heck, any Ancient Tech user with an explosion technique could get around it because it specifically doesn't work on Ancient Tech.

Besides if Elewa wanted to protect someone he'd just use Strong Arms To Protect. That makes the person he is touching as durable as him, potentially more so. If they still die after that, well it's highly unlikely he'd survive either so it's not like he has to worry.
True, but it's more likely for her to be the one to do it.

Does Roy Mustang (FMA, right?) commonly break the laws of physics with the results of his transformations (not the transformations themselves)?

    :)

What are these 'laws' of which you speak of?

Whatever they are, they have no influence in these parts.

Well, since I've got no answer from Cleric, Elewa is going repeat the question.

I'm cool with powers breaking the laws of physics.

But actual actions that enter Nosebone Into Brain territory always grab a double take. ^_^

How quickly and vehemently would you reject a character whose entire existence was derived from Nosebone Into Brain territory?

Well, there should be plenty of other people besides Jacob and Tabia who should currently be in a position to notice.

At least four people (including Irie) are not, though.

    Immediately.

See, I have scratch-zero problems with powers (obviously depending upon setting and whether they are appropriate for such). But I assume that, unless otherwise noted somewhere in the rules, humans are humans, hydrogen is hydrogen, lasers are lasers, and thus a skull and its physiology is a skull and its physiology, combustion physics are combustion physics, and lightspeed is lightspeed.

Put another way, made-up stuff is made-up stuff and follows its own rules, but unless the setting says otherwise and the universe itself is bizarrely different (for example: 'New RPG Universe Fact #4 - Humans have 3" nasal bones that line up quite well with gaping holes in their skulls!'), things distorting real-world facts are waaaay out.

A power that turns light into crystal, which can then be forged into a sword and cuts through adamantium? Okay, that's flippnig weird and potent, but depending on the game it's fine, as it's a power that directly creates a situation impossible by real-world standards - the POWER acts upon the universe and affects a change.

A martial art technique that allows punching nosebones into the brain? Unless it physically transforms a human into something different before it lands, no, because it's dependant on humans actually not being biologically human - the power affects no change upon the universe, but rather its use is predicated upon something that isn't at all factual, even in the RPG setting.

I've gotten in so much trouble in the past by assuming things work as reality unless otherwise noted that I've stopped assuming anything, except when I forget why I stopped assuming stuff.
