Oh Tom I feel your pain my little sisters delight in my misery and embarrassment but only if they are doing it if anyone else tries they get their heads chopped off. Looks good i am glad Kara is finally learning some English and I will accept that its only a little right now I mean she has only been on Earth for like a week.
I had high hopes for this book when the new 52 started but it's so boring i couldnt help but drop it. And just as Supergirl, Steph, Damian and Beetle were starting to form a young justice team of sorts, the universe got rebooted. Kara is doing her thing, Steph and Cass are on the bench, Damian is dealing with his issues, and Beetle is stuck in a bad book. If the new 52 screwed up anything, it's the kid superheroes.
I was lukewarm on what they started doing with Kara around the time Gates left. I found her friendships with Dick, Damian, and Steph charming, but at the same time it wasn't lost on me how Supergirl was for some reason getting more facetime with Batman characters than her own family. At least here they're making an effort to give the character her own, unique supporting cast starting with Siobhan and Tom. And I look forward to lots more interaction with Superman and Superboy.
But I'm glad Supergirl is doing her own thing for a while. Not every young hero has to be associated with a team. Even though I wouldn't be surprised if they go that route with Kara again in the future here.
Man, Asrar has become one of my favorite artist. Really digging his work on this whole run. And, Hello, is at least a start for Kara. I know it works for the story but I was seriously about to get to the point of, English mother#!@* do you speak it! Looks good.
Just read the issue. It was a pretty good done-in-one. It's a shame she still hasn't gotten a handle on English yet, but I enjoyed what I read.
I too dropped it a while back because the story was just progressing too slowly. I kind of wish everyone started out with shorter arcs for the launch.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
Great issue. I really love this series-- AND IM A GUY!
So was her using the heat vision and x-ray vision together something special ?
i have a beautiful filthy mind
I try and avoid most of these previews, but we've got a frickin' 24 hour delay on our comics down here this week, so...
Damn that looks good. Really really good! I'd found the last couple of issues a bit iffy - no fault of the storytellers but they just didn't connect with me - but this is already a return to the high quality of previous issues.![]()
Really dig the relationship already between Kara, Siobhan, and Tom. Very organic friendship (and in the case of Tom, possible romance) developing that has a lot of chemistry. So I certainly hope she doesn't stay away from NY for too long!

Thought it was a solid. Love Kara's relationship with the siblings. Sad to see her leaving them already.
