Comics have become more socially acceptable because "really hot girls call themselves geeks." There you have it!

It indeed does look like a lot of the geek culture stuff in comics is becoming more popular because of things like Avengers and Arkham City. People I know who don't read comics are looking up Thanos and Bane on Wikipedia now.

But I'm more concerned about the medium itself, which isn't really benefited by any of this stuff. I long for the day when comics transcend just superhero stuff.

..and when DC will have cancelled Earth 2 in 3 years, the gay Alan Scott would be no more. So all the hooplas for nothing.

Great stuff, Jonah, James is always good to talk to, he really does seem to have a good perspective on life. All the best to him and J Bone for The Saviours.

Now ... need anyone to clean the CBR poopdeck next year?

If DC cancels Earth 2 in 3 years, it'll probably have little to do with Alan Scott's sexual orientation. And that's a very big IF.
