Is there a Q&A for this panel? 'Cause I'm just waiting for some follow up questions to Steph's replacement in Smallville?
Heh, next time to ask about Wally: NYCC!The final question came from a fan who waned to know if Wally West would be showing up soon, to thunderous applause and cheers.
“With a response like that I can only answer probably not,” DiDio laughed, then said there was no plans at this time, but that did not mean they would never see West in the DCU as they were in a “long-term business.”
Well that's interesting. I guess DiDio felt that Steph would have become too familiar with these new readers.“40% of the people buying ‘Smallville’ it was their first comic purchase,” Lee added, saying they believed Digital First could bring in new readers.
The idea of Stephanie Brown as Nightwing at least sparks a new idea. Stephanie Brown as Nightwing leads a group of the original TITANS who have been "benched", and unused Young Justice characters on a multiverse Earth. In the likes of Earth 2, but with a different era of characters.
I'm looking forward to Sword of Sorcery, but is Demon Knights not considered fantasy to them?
Team 7 sounds cool, but those outfits are just BAD. Give the characters unique looks!
Also, a generic question ("what's the hardest part about writing comics?") gets rewarded with an Amazon Kindle? Dang, I got to start going to these events if they give away nice prizes for such little effort!
DC Comics = Damned Confused Comics
The greatest problem of DC today: incompetent publishers.
And Barbara Gordon as Nightwing doesn't? What makes Steph in that role spark new ideas?
Team 7--I get what you mean, but it does seem like it's supposed to be a military/espionage group, and it's not like the military is well known for their individualized outfits.
As for the question--if I remember the article right, I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that it was a young kid who asked it.
Demon Knights is fantasy but not a fantasy anthology. They're just expanding the dark fantasy genre.
As for Team 7, the costume for the zero picture (not final cover) was probably a first draft. Justin Jordan has stated that the costumes will change. The cover for issue 1 shows different costumes on the cast.
