Default Loved the story. Can't remember the name.

About a year ago, I read a great graphic novel, but now I cannot - for the life of me - remember the name or artist. It was from a library that no longer has it, and I'd like to get a copy, but even Goole can't seem to help.

It was in a style very similar to Brian Wood's [DMZ - about a journalist who was brainwashed or just converted and in the end had a sniper rifle and was about to make tge news rather than report it.

I've Googled, browsed online comic lists, and talked to my local shop - to no avail. Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Can you remember anything else about the plot? Other characters perhaps? Was it Vertigo or something else?
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

The only other Vertigo series I can think of about a journalist is Transmetropolitan, but that's hardly in the style of DMZ.

Are you positive that it was Vertigo? Because Jonathan Hickman's The Nightly News is my guess. It's been awhile since I've read it-- I'm out of town so I can't pull it off the shelf-- but the ending you describe sounds familiar.

Yeah, that was what first came to mind as well.
