I've been out of the comic scene for about 15 years but now am really wanting to get back into it. Sandman is what I'm starting with but I also want to read Lucifer. I just wanted a little clarification on where to start. It looks like there are 75 of the regular issues then some like vol 1 The Devil in The Gateway. Are those just compilations of the regular issues? Sorry for the noob questions, been out of the loop for too long.

Lucifer was a 3-issue mini series followed by a 75-issue ongoing.

try preacher and 100 bullets too. dc are collecting them in hardcovers again.
